Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for adolescent behavioral health in an inpatient setting, following the nursing process and established standards of care.
- Collect and analyze patient data, develop and implement a plan of care, and adjust interventions as needed to achieve outcomes.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff and collaborate with the treatment team to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
- Administer medications and treatments per policy; monitor for adverse effects and respond promptly to emergencies.
- Engage with patients, families, and treatment team; participate in discharge planning and provide patient/family education and support.
- Document care accurately; participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed; ensure compliance with unit policies and safety protocols.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (California required)
- BLS (and ACLS) certification required; CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor per policy
- BSN preferred; acute care or inpatient behavioral health experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in the field; inpatient behavioral health preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and to collaborate with mental health technicians and multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work in an inpatient behavioral health setting with adolescent patients
- Vaccination compliance as required by the organization’s policy
