Smile Surfers is seeking a full-time dental assistant for our office in Kennewic k primarily but may work at the Richland practice occassionally .

Duties/Responsibilities  

• Welcome and greet patients   
• Update and maintain patient records  
• Take X-rays and intraoral photos of patients 
• Preforms prophylaxis 
• Present treatment to patients/parents  
• Assist clinicians during dental procedures  
• Sterilize instruments, clean rooms and ensure all infection control policies are being followed  
• Prepare operatories for patient visits  

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to move fast and work as a team 
• Excellent customer service skills  
• Enjoys working with children 
• Ability to engage with families 
• Knowledge of dental terminology  

Education and Experience  

• High School diploma or equivalent  
• WA State Dental Assistant Registration  
• CPR trained 
• Basic knowledge of practice management software  
• 2+ years in dental assisting is preferred but not required  
• Bilingual (Spanish/English Preferred) 

Physical Demands   

• Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms  
• Is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.  
• Has the ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus.  
• Sometimes moves boxes and files weighing up to 25 pounds across the office for various needs 
• Works in moderate noise

Salary Range

$19 - $26/hr (Dependent on Experience)
