What You’ll Do As an Audit Associate, you’ll work closely with clients and team members to perform audits, reviews, and compilations. Your responsibilities will include: Planning and executing audit engagements Preparing financial statements and related reports Identifying and resolving accounting and auditing issues Communicating with clients to gather information and provide updates Collaborating with team members to ensure timely and accurate deliverables What We’re Looking For 2–3 years of public accounting experience Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam Familiarity with CCH ProSystemfx Engagement and Guided Assurance is a plus Strong understanding of GAAP and audit procedures HUD and VHDA audit experience is a plus Excellent communication and organizational skills A proactive, self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment Why You’ll Enjoy Working Here No required overtime during busy season – while some long days may be necessary, we trust our professionals to manage their time and get the job done without micromanagement 10 paid holidays, including 2 floating holidays Enjoy a hybrid work environment that offers the flexibility of remote work (while residing locally in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area) combined with the benefits of in-person collaboration on designated office days A culture that values respect, autonomy, and growth.
