Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring FL or compact RN licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a 210-bed acute care hospital
• Evening shift schedule (3x12 hours, 15:00-03:00)
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required within scope
• Level 1 resuscitation patient experience needed
• Meditech charting system used

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required in hand
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS (TNCC preferred, SANE preferred)
• Minimum 2.5 years of ED experience required
• Minimum 1 year of neuro/stroke experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required (minimum of 2 previous travel assignments)
• Experience with level 1 resuscitation patients required
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with Meditech charting system preferred

Additional Information

• Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO limited to no more than 10 days, requiring an additional 2 weeks added to the assignment, with no RTO during the first or last week of the assignment
• Holiday coverage required: if 1-2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work 1 evening shift and 1 holiday; if 3 holidays fall within the assignment, must work 1 evening shift and 2 holidays
• Scrubs may be any color, but tee shirts, sweatshirts, and logos from other organizations are not permitted
• Free parking available in any unrestricted space
• Skills in psychiatric care, IV therapy, respiratory management, neurological care, cardiac monitoring, and orthopedic care are valued
• Experience with gunshot wounds, head injury, and near drowning cases preferred
• STEMI and stroke certified facility
