Job Description

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) is a leader in energetic system solutions offered to aerospace and defense customers for a wide array of applications. EBAD products & capabilities set the U.S. standard and are highly sought after in the international community.

EBAD seeks a supply chain professional for the position of Material Planner reporting to the Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Implement material planning methods to meet production schedules, minimum safety stock levels, and customer demand

• Generate and action direct materials needs utilizing and interpreting material requirements plan (MRP)

• Monitor and manage stocking levels, optimize inventory turnover

• Review and analyze historic and forecast data and propose methods to improve material availability and eliminate shortages

• Develop expertise in material master/basic data in ERP system (IFS) and maintain accurate dynamic material records in the system

• Reconcile supply non-conformances, return of product, and re-planning of material needs

• Seek to improve aspects of supply chain related to inventory, material setup, configuration management

• Work closely with other departments and locations within the organization to identify efficiency issues, root causes and implement countermeasures

• Participate as an active member of the ECE supply chain team

• Actively participate in continuous improvement

Requirements:

• BS in Business Analytics or Supply Chain, or related field or equivalent job experience and/or training

• Experience working in and maintaining ERP databases, must have exception attention to detail

• Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office software

• Ability to work independently, be curious and self-motivated.

• Ability to work in fast pace environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.

• Strong desire to drive process improvements, problem solve, and learn.
