Description: WNTR CONTRACT: 26 Weeks PM shift 7p-7a. On-call required 36 hours in a 6-week block. Combined unit that services labor and delivery, post-partum, antepartum, and Level II nursery. Level 2 inpatient obstetrical clientele. Level 2 NICU neonatal clientele. GYN/Medical overflow. Antepartum patient observational triage. Mother-baby couplet care. Procedures associated with obstetrics such as versions, induction of labor, cervical ripening, IUFD care, and bereavement. Cesarean sections. Staffing ratios: 1:1 for complications or active labor. 1:3 for antepartum stable. 1:1-2 for unstable, ill antepartum. 1:3/4 for couplet care. 2:1 for delivery (1 NRP for baby, 1 for mother). 1:2-3 for NICU level 2 depending on condition. If floated outside of specialty, will be utilized as helping hands using general nursing skills to assist nurses with assigned patients. A zero-tolerance policy for THC applies. Medical marijuana cards are not accepted. Fit testing is required. Travelers must shave for fit testing. An exemption needs a letter from an approved provider before coming onsite and must be cleared to start and be compliant.
