Business Development Representative

About The Business Development Representative Role We are seeking ambitious, entry-level sales professionals and recent graduates eager to build a successful career in sales. As a Business Development Representative (BDR) , you will be at the forefront of our sales team, playing a key role in generating new business opportunities by identifying and engaging potential clients. This is an outbound cold-calling role designed to provide you with the skills and experience needed for future high-earning sales positions. You will get the coaching, tools, and resources to be successful. This is a hybrid role, requiring 3 days a week in the Boston office. Responsibilities Conduct cold outreach (call, email, social) to targeted prospects. Research and qualify leads to build a strong sales pipeline. Schedule and book qualified meetings between Account Executives (AEs) and potential clients. Meet and exceed weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales quotas. (Daily activity minimums: 60 calls, 20-40 personalized emails) Track and report daily activities, ensuring accountability for outreach efforts. Develop a deep understanding of Verndale’s digital experience solutions. Collaborate closely with direct manager, sales leadership, and AEs to refine sales strategies. Collaborate with team members to share and learn from best practices. Qualifications You are located within commutable distance of Boston. No prior sales experience required (1-2 years in customer service, retail, or hospitality is a plus). Strong written and verbal communication skills with a confident phone presence. Highly coachable, motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented mindset. You take initiative and accountability. Quick thinking and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Passion for personal and professional growth. Self-disciplined, organized, and able to manage time effectively. Interest in digital marketing and technology-driven solutions.
