Position Purpose: Join our team as an Equipment Maintenance Technician, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and reliability of our Tool Rental department. Your expertise will help maintain our inventory of tools, providing exceptional service to our customers and guaranteeing that equipment is always ready for rental. Key Responsibilities: Perform preventive maintenance on tools and diagnose issues for effective repairs while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Manage inventory levels of repair parts and utilize manuals and vendor resources for accurate problem diagnosis. Inspect, clean, and prepare returned tools for new customers to ensure high-quality rentals. Ensure timely repair of tools while managing costs effectively. Handle tool rental transactions, including logging repairs, generating contracts, and processing invoices upon equipment return. Train Tool Rental Sales Associates on safe and effective tool operation and minor repairs. Provide support on the sales floor as a Sales Associate when required. Work Environment: Work in a warehouse that may be dusty and noisy, with potential for uneven walking surfaces due to heavy equipment. Be prepared for open doors that may cause temperature fluctuations and occasional drafts. Understand that wet conditions may lead to slippery floors, and handle sharp-edged tools and hazardous materials with care. Located in a comfortable indoor area, any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and manageable. The role may require overnight travel of less than 10% of your time.
