Delivery Specialist-1

Compensation Pay Range: $10.70 - $16.70 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently. Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, complete daily inspections, etc. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily inspections before operating. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, devices, and monies collected at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slip. Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock/secure vehicle at end of day. Clock in/out per company policy. Perform other duties as assigned including customer service, sweeping, general stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in/putting up stock orders, etc. Occasionally assist customers, serve as cashier, help with merchandising tasks when business dictates. SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet the company’s 14/18‑point standard. Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet mandated driving eligibility requirements. DESIRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with automotive parts. Ability to operate other light store equipment. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
