Senior Associate Attorney

Boutique litigation law firm is seeking a full-time senior litigation associate to join a growing, exciting, and diverse litigation practice. Ideal candidate will have graduated from an accredited law school and will have over 5 years of experience in general civil litigation, entertainment litigation, intellectual property law/litigation, employment litigation and/or personal injury . The attorney shall be responsible for running existing cases being handled by the firm, from developing strategy to handling discovery, engaging in motion practice, trial preparation, and trial. Compensation will include a competitive base salary and discretionary profit-sharing bonus. Great opportunity for growth and eventual partnership if desired. This is a dynamic and fast-paced complex litigation group with a collaborative atmosphere, specializing in both plaintiff and defense side entertainment, employment and business litigation. The ideal candidate would be able to work individually but also within a group. Responsibilities Legal research and writing for lawsuits pending in State and Federal courts. Meet trial deadlines, make court appearances, and manage existing cases being handled by the firm, from developing strategy to handling discovery, engaging in motion practice, trial preparation, and trial along with the firm’s Partners. 1,800 billable hours per year, recorded promptly. Qualifications J.D. from accredited law school. Must have over 5 years’ experience in different aspects of litigation, such as discovery, pleadings, motion practice and trial. Experience in both State and Federal courts is preferred. Must be able to work independently with limited supervision. Adept at conducting research and proficiency with standard legal software, drafting motions and pleadings, drafting and responding to discovery, and preparing cases for trial.
