These values guide how we care for residents, support families, and work together as a team. Position Summary At Morningside, our Servers help turn every meal into a moment of care and connection. As a Server, you'll assist with all aspects of dining service, from serving appetizing meals to keeping the dining room and kitchen running smoothly, helping create a warm, welcoming mealtime experience for our residents. Key Responsibilities 1. Dining Service & Resident Experience Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance, on a timely basis. Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures, including checking diet trays before distribution. Set up meal trays, food carts, and the dining room as instructed, and deliver food carts and trays to designated areas. Distribute and collect menus, assist the cook in preparing meals, and prepare and deliver snacks as instructed. 2. Cleaning & Sanitation Assist with daily and scheduled cleaning duties, including work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators, and freezers. Sweep and mop floors as directed, and keep work areas clean, dry, and free of hazards. Carry soiled utensils to the wash area, wash and clean utensils, and return clean utensils to proper storage, ensuring everything is ready for the next meal. Remove food trays from carts and the dining room, carry out garbage, and obtain food supplies for the next meal. 3. Team & Community Standards Bring a positive, professional attitude to interactions with residents, visitors, and fellow team members. Help maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents and the preservation of equipment. Perform all duties in adherence to Morningside Elite Management standards, policies, and procedures. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is dependable, attentive, and takes pride in helping create a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills & Competencies Comfortable working in a fast-paced dining and kitchen environment. Strong attention to detail with portion control and diet tray accuracy. Reliable and thorough with cleaning and sanitation tasks. Ability to work well as part of a team, supporting cooks and fellow servers. Positive, professional demeanor with residents, families, and coworkers.
