Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for handling financial transactions within Landmark Properties. Reports to: Development Accounting Manager Direct Reports: None Duties/Responsibilities: The duties listed below are an outline of the Accounts Payable Specialist responsibilities and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the organization change, these duties may be modified as needed. Using accounting software and other tools to handle accounts payable for separate entities and vendors. Analyzing workflow processes to improve efficiency. Maintain relationship with development team to support vendor communication regarding invoicing and payment timing. Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors. Ensuring timely and accurate payment of bills while following departmental procedures. Processing due invoices for payments. Recording accounts receivable payments upon receipt Comparing subcontracts, prices, terms of payment, and other charges. Performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Proficiency in accounting software Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities. Acumatica Experience a plus but not required Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
