Travel RN – Neuro ICU (NVICU) – Night Shift

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Minimum 4 weekend shifts per schedule block

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Neuro ICU with patient ratios of 2:1, adjustable to 1:1 or 3:1 based on acuity and staffing needs
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, and EV 1000
• Assist with and support bedside procedures including central line insertion, arterial line insertion, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
• Float to other units, including med/surg, as needed per facility floating policy — contract staff are first to float
• Deliver attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members in alignment with patient experience standards

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (must be valid for practice in Tennessee)
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech documentation system
• Familiarity with neuro ICU patient populations and neuro-specific monitoring equipment such as EVDs
• Experience with CRRT or SLED therapy
