Associate Chemistry - Environment Testing - Water Quality - 3rd Shift, M-F

Associate Chemist prepares and analyzes environmental samples in a water quality laboratory using standard analytical techniques and instrumentation. The role involves routine sample preparation, chemical analysis, data evaluation, and instrument maintenance in compliance with quality assurance programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental samples and perform chemical analysis using standard techniques
• Evaluate, quantify, and record analytical data; report unusual occurrences to supervisor
• Execute routine instrument maintenance and manage software for specialized equipment
• Complete timely quality control samples including method detection limits and proficiency tests
• Maintain current training documentation and manage personal workload using backlog reports

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field, or Associate degree, or 2+ years laboratory experience
• Professional English proficiency: read, write, and speak fluently
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Ability to interpret written materials and communicate findings effectively
• Strong organizational skills to manage priorities and meet deadlines
• Competency with mathematical formulas and data analysis tools

Compensation: $18–19 per hour plus 10% shift differential
