The HVAC Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating commercial and industrial HVAC projects, working closely with owners, general contractors, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and our internal field teams.

The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing schedules, materials, manpower coordination, change orders, billing, and project documentation. We are open to experienced Project Managers as well as strong Assistant Project Managers or HVAC professionals ready to take the next step.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and industrial HVAC projects from startup through completion.
• Review project drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and schedules.
• Coordinate with general contractors, owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal field teams.
• Assist with equipment and material buyouts, procurement tracking, and delivery coordination.
• Work with foremen and field personnel to keep projects moving efficiently.
• Track labor, material costs, change orders, billing, and overall project progress.
• Attend project meetings and provide clear updates to clients and internal leadership.
• Help identify project issues early and work with the team to develop solutions.
• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with project documents, codes, and company standards.
• Manage project closeout, including punch lists, O&M manuals, warranty items, and final documentation.
• Build and maintain strong client, vendor, and subcontractor relationships.

Qualifications

• 1–5+ years of experience in HVAC project management, assistant project management, mechanical contracting, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, mechanical piping, sheet metal, equipment installations, and mechanical construction.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, schedules, and project documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate with both office and field teams.
• Experience with project management software, Microsoft Office, Procore, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred, but not required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to commute to Bohemia, NY and travel to job sites throughout Long Island and NYC.

Work Location

Bohemia, NY, with travel to project sites throughout Long Island and New York City.
