Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for administering medications and treatments, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members, and ensuring accurate documentation of patient care. This position requires adherence to nursing standards and legal regulations, fostering teamwork, and supporting continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments following approved nursing protocols.
• Provide timely and accurate information to healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Document patient care activities including vital signs, medication administration, and intake/output.
• Develop individualized care plans within 24 hours of patient admission.
• Maintain fiscal responsibility in the use of supplies and pharmacy items.
• Participate in orientation, staff meetings, and ongoing training.
• Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of one year RN experience in an acute care environment preferred.
• Recent telemetry or cardiac nursing experience is a plus.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current, unrestricted nursing license in Washington State.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.

• Strong knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care principles.
• Ability to apply age-specific growth and development principles.
• Commitment to patient privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role involves 12-hour night shifts within a 40-hour workweek. Physical demands include frequent lifting, carrying, standing, walking, and other activities typical of acute care nursing.
