Registered Nurse-Outpatient Staff

Major Duties
Responsible and accountable for individual nursing practice and determines the appropriate delegation of tasks consistent with the nurse's obligation to provide optimal specialty care.
Provides patient care, care coordination, health promotion, health education and coaching on wellness, disease prevention, and chronic care management.
Ability to formulate a plan of care based on nursing assessments and Veteran goals of care.
Delegates elements of care to the appropriate individual based upon assessed needs, condition, and safety of the patient.
