This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in Naval Base Kitsap \u2013 Bangor, Silverdale, WA.\n\nThe qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman\u2019s Strategic Launcher Programs (SLP), Launcher Operating Unit.\n\nRoles and Responsibilities\n\n\u2022 Provide Field Support at the Explosive Handling Wharf(s) during ordnance handling events and launcher subsystem maintenance periods. \n\u2022 Support Trident Refit Facility Weapons Repair Shop during submarine refit periods. \n\u2022 Provide technical training and facility/equipment upkeep support at the Trident Training Facility. \n\u2022 Support SSGN Major Maintenance Periods and SSBN Extended Refit Periods. \n\u2022 Support Naval Magazine Indian Island during Tomahawk handling evolutions as an on-site technical representative. \n\u2022 Support Advanced Launcher Programs working with design teams and supporting field installation and test activities.\n\nBasic Qualifications: \n\nA candidate must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:\n\n\u2022 Be completing or has completed their degree (Bachelor\u2019s, Master\u2019s, or PhD) from an accredited institution\n\n\u2022 Be majoring in or having majored in mechanical or electrical engineering\n\n\u2022 Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)\n\n\u2022 The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs\n\n\u2022 Demonstrated proficiency in analytical thinking, problem solving skills and systems engineering approach/thinking and mindset \n\u2022 Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams \n\u2022 Ability to interface directly with multiple customers and associated contractors \n\u2022 Ability to provide timely and accurate reporting \n\u2022 Ability to implement local and corporate safety policies \n\u2022 Qualified candidates should possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal\n\nPreferred Qualifications: \n\n * Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher\n\n\n\n * Experience in the U.S. Navy\u0027s Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program as well as with the OHIO Class Trident II D5 Missile Strategic Weapon System (SWS), its Launcher Subsystem, and related Launcher Support Equipment\n\n * Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance\n\n\n\n\nSalary Range: $72,700-$109,100\n\ncampusjobs\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $72,700.00 - $109,100.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
