Commercial HVAC-R Service/Install Technician

Position at Schwickert's Position Summary: Schwickert's Tecta America is seeking motivated individuals to join our team. Our HVAC-R Service/Install Technician are individuals who are skilled and wanting to grow within their career. This position involves performing HVAC-R system troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work on commercial HVAC-R systems while providing insight and training to other technicians. SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL BE ELIGIBLE FOR UP TO A $1,000 SIGN-ON BONUS! Starting pay ranges from $30-$47+ per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• HVAC-R system troubleshooting and repair of units.
• Installation of commercial HVAC-R systems, ductwork, specialty equipment and start up.
• Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of commercial HVAC units
• Ensure compliance with all applicable HVAC codes and maintain a safe work environment.
• On Call duties as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Technical school degree desired; or equivalent combination of education and experience but not required.
• 3-5+ years experience preferred.
• Ability to learn and take direction from crew foreman.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be EPA certified or willing to take the EPA exam within a month of starting date.
• NATE certification or similar, DDC/Pneumatic control experience, boilers license, and refrigeration background is desired but not required.
• No fear of heights.
• Lift 50+ lbs.
• Sit, stand, and climb stairs.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use hands, have to talk, and hear. The employee is also required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
