Material Handler

Material HandlerWorking under general supervision, move materials to various areas inside and outside the facility using powered forklift truck. Control material movement. Load and unload trucks or freight vehicles. Transport material between departments while ensuring proper routing of material is maintained. May be required to perform other activities including picking orders, taking inventory, shipping and receiving. Fully trained to facilitate receipt, storage and dispatch of packaged inventory.ResponsibilitiesSafely operate forklifts to move materials, products and equipment throughout the manufacturing facilityLoad and unload trucks, trailers, and storage areas, ensuring that materials are handled with careTransport raw materials and packing to production lines and finishes goods to designated storage or shipping areasEmpty scrap metal bins as requiredEnsure materials are properly stacked, secured and stored to prevent damage or accidentsEntering shipping and receiving information into applicable computer software and programs as requiredEnsure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations and other safety standardsNeatly store material in proper storage areas.Maintain flow of material to all machines and assembly areas, first in, first out.Take parts for final inspection area and/or in process inspection area and from final inspection area and/or in process inspection area to shipping.Other duties as assignedAcademic/Educational RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent expertise gained through professional experience, training, or certifications.Required Skills/ExperiencePrior shipping and receiving knowledge or forklift driving experience required.1-2 years operation counterbalance forklifts and other material handling equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environmentAbility to schedule and adjust plans as needed for unexpected changesWorking Knowledge of Microsoft Office and inventory management systemStrong written and verbal skillsCommitment to continuous learning to stay updated on new products, market trends, and emerging sales/inventory management technologies.What Linamar Has to OfferCompetitive CompensationEmployee Benefits package includes but not limited to, Medical, Dental & Vision etc.Opportunities for career advancement.Community based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.Discounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.About UsLinamar Corporation is a Canadian-founded global manufacturer, renowned for its advanced engineering and innovative product development across diverse industries and markets.
