Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing team in the Southeast Metro. This role will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and eager to grow their accounting career within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities commonly include general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close support. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger transactions. Perform monthly bank, balance sheet, and account reconciliations. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Maintain and analyze financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed. Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances. Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting. Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Support audits by preparing schedules and providing requested documentation. Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with special projects. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 3-6 years of accounting experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting principles. Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookup functions. Experience with ERP or accounting software systems. Preferred Qualifications Manufacturing, distribution, construction, or project-based accounting experience. CPA eligibility or progress toward CPA certification. Experience working with financial reporting and variance analysis. What We Offer Competitive compensation up to $85,000. 401(k) with company match. PTO and paid holidays.
