Pharmacy Services LeaderOur client is seeking an innovative and experienced healthcare leader to drive excellence and inspire our team towards exceptional patient outcomes and operational success.Responsibilities:Direct the personnel, operational and financial activities of the pharmacy services function for assigned operating unit.Identify the need for policy development and/or revision, define policies in collaboration with higher level management, input, goals and objectives.Oversee or direct the development, implementation and/or revision of function procedures/protocols in accordance with system-wide goals and objectives.Approve procedures/protocols and/or seek other departmental approvals as appropriate.Develop, monitor and revise functional processes in accordance with system-wide goals and objectives.Provide input into the development and revision of organizational structure for function. Approve personnel actions such as hires, fires, disciplines, etc.Ensure the timely completion of performance appraisals. Develop current to intermediate goals and measures for a major function.Measure and assess performance.As requested, assist in long range goal development.Assist in development of and monitor budget for a major function.Monitor activities for and ensure compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and policies.As directed, implement external and internal audit recommendations.Ensure hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.Basic Qualifications:Doctor of Pharmacy degree or Master's degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration or comparable graduate degree.Postgraduate residency training and/or additional coursework in business administration preferred.Three to five years experience in pharmacy administration in hospital setting, including two to three years supervisory/leadership experience.Pediatric experience highly preferred.Registered Pharmacist and Controlled Substance licensures in the State of Michigan obtained within 3 months of entry into job.
