This accredited teaching hospital provides specialized hematology and oncology services across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings, and encompasses a dedicated cancer hospital as the area's sole facility of its kind. The facility also houses a comprehensive neuroscience program, state-of-the-art emergency and trauma services, an orthopedic center of excellence, and an established primary care network. The institution maintains a commitment to advanced technology and coordinated, patient-centered care across specialties including cardiovascular and cancer care, orthopedics, diabetes and endocrine care, kidney transplants, and integrative medicine.

The state serves as a year-round destination with outdoor recreational activities, natural attractions including waterfalls, nature and wildlife areas, and farms, as well as regional cultural destinations. Clinicians on assignment may explore the state's diverse seasonal activities and regional points of interest throughout their time in the area.

The hematologist/oncologist will provide inpatient, outpatient, and clinic hematology and oncology coverage Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on-site in Michigan. After-hours call coverage is required as part of a call pool at a 1:5 ratio. Board certification in Hematology/Oncology is required for this assignment. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the facility's electronic medical record system for patient encounters and treatment planning activities.
