Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity in Omaha, NEAn exciting permanent opportunity has opened for an experienced Ultrasound Technologist (also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) in Omaha, NE with a mobile imaging provider where you will use your expertise to operate portable ultrasound equipment and produce diagnostic images used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.Minimum Requirements:Registration and certification in relevant modalities. Applicants must be registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound. General and vascular modalities required.National certification in specialty from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).Graduate from an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program.Maintain required certification, registries, and health/operational requirements. It is the technologist's responsibility to provide copies of registries and diploma when requested.Valid driver's license and reliable ability to travel. Technologist must maintain a valid driver's license and provide copies when requested. Knowledge of regional geography and travel routes required.BLS Certification.Ability to perform mobile work. Role requires travel to nursing homes, home care facilities, correctional facilities, and other client sites, transporting portable sonographic equipment, and performing exams at bedside.Maintain vaccination against COVID-19 or submit approved exemption documentation.Complete and successfully pass drug screening and background check. Notify employer of any changes to criminal background in accordance with company policy.Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including lifting an equipment bag (~18–20 lbs), pulling a wheeled cart up to 250 feet, and performing duties that require mobility and manual dexterity.Basic smartphone and computer skills required for communication, scanning, attaching documents, and sending exam images digitally.Professional communication skills and ability to interact with facility staff, dispatch, radiologists, and patients. Must confirm patient identity using two identifiers and follow chart/order verification procedures.Role and Responsibilities:Provide mobile ultrasound services using portable sonographic equipment to obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent images for interpretation by a radiologist.Self-dispatch or call dispatch to obtain case load information. Arrive at first case at the start of assigned shift or depart residence at least 30 minutes prior.Unload equipment, perform ordered examinations, digitally transmit studies, and scan exam-related paperwork per protocol.Check voicemail and dispatch communications regularly. Respond to urgent communication within 15 minutes.Follow facility and company protocols for orders verification, patient identification, infection control, and required examinations/tests (medical physical, TB screening, annual infection control in-service).Do not perform patient transfers. Facility staff will conduct transfers and positioning as required.Wear company uniform and name tag and carry company-provided phone while on duty. Maintain vehicle and equipment in proper working order and report equipment malfunctions promptly.Participate in required meetings and training. Train other technologists as requested.Adhere to company policies regarding drug-free workplace, professional conduct, and possession/use prohibitions.Shift Details:Days.
