JOB TITLE: Electrical Assembler Level 2 DEPARTMENT: Assembly REPORTS TO: Team Lead Electrical Assembly **SUMMARY: **Perform manual labor in a production environment; assembling parts of various product lines DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Read, interpret and follow wiring diagrams, unit drawings, schematics, P&IDs, Bills of Materials (BOM's) and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products Prepare product electrically for final testing, including testing, calibration, and troubleshooting Assemble components, devices and wiring per assembly drawings Ability to understand and troubleshoot wiring issues Mounts, installs, attaches or performs similar operations with components or subassemblies into assemblies Knowledge in proper use of basic hand, air and power tools (e.g., screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, cutting wheels, etc.)Connects component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connects wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points Adjusts or trims materials from components to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics Perform complex layout and component mounting according to drawings under close supervision and in accordance with standard operating procedures. Drill and tap holes in specified locations to mount components on a specific assembly using hand and power toolsTerminate all electrical wiring according to wiring diagrams using the proper toolsAbility to learn to pack glands with Kopex Confer with supervisor and engineering to plan and review activities so issues regarding production, quality or procedural problems may be identified and resolved Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures and maintains a clean and safe work areaPerforms other related duties as assigned by management Experience with Amphenol cables, in our assembly process the team will be required to assemble cables that will connect with gas turbines and other auxiliary equipment. What I am looking for are individuals that can help with the pin insertion that is needed mate these cables together. Experience with wire/cable terminations with control panels and MCC/IO cabinets. This requires a high degree of attention to detail because wires must be stripped, wires must ferruled, and wires must be labeled to ensure overall job accuracy and accomplishment. Lastly, cables and wires must be routed in the panel/cabinet correctly. Experience with wire preparation and labeling, we would like the candidates to be proficient in wire preparation. Wire preparation, consists of inspecting the wire, stripping wire to the correct length, and having the correct ferrule installed. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Two to four years of experience or related experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) including with fractions COMPETENCIES: Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
