Board-Certified Psychiatrist Requirements

• MD or DO degree required
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program required
• Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) required
• Active, unrestricted Kentucky medical license required
• Experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Provide ongoing medication management for patients
• Deliver psychiatric care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals
• Participate in treatment planning and discharge coordination
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EMR systems
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotation
• Support quality patient outcomes through evidence-based psychiatric care
