Together with a dedicated team of nurses and lab professionals, they provide compassionate, one-on-one care that is personalized for every patient. Essential Duties:Ability to provide multi-dimensional care for patients in the PACU area.Assesses assigned area to ensure that all necessary supplies and emergency equipment is available and operational.Identifies and assesses areas of patient concern, answers questions within nursing scope.Recognizes and reports deviation in patient assessment appropriately to provider, charge nurse or administrator.Reviews and carries out surgeons/anesthesiologists' orders as indicated.Initiates, intravenous therapy as ordered and performs CLIA waived testing as indicated (urine pregnancy test, HemaQue, and Finger stick glucose testing)Follows universal protocol for patient identification, consent signing, site marking, and time out process per RMG IVF/ Surgery Center PolicyObserves patients' recovery from anesthesia for a period of time determined as being consistent with the safety and welfare of the patient.Monitors patient vital signs per policy in Pre-op and PACU phase; is able to recognize a change in patient condition and notifies Anesthesiologist, Surgeon or Medical Director as needed.Education and Experience:Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing - BSN preferred and Licensed in the State of New Jersey as a Registered NurseAble to demonstrate communication skills which indicate ability to be successful at counseling, teaching, marketing and public relations.One year nursing experience is preferred, we will consider a new grad with the right attitudePreferred experience in Pre-Op/PACU, Critical Care or Emergency NursingPart-time Hours.
