Clinical DietitianWe are seeking a dedicated Clinical Dietitian to join our healthcare team for day shifts (5x8 hours from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM). This position entails providing nutritional expertise to patients, ensuring optimal health through tailored dietary plans.Shift DetailsSchedule: 5x8s, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on patient census.Average Patient Visits per Day: 12On Call Requirement: NoneWeekend Requirement: Occasional Saturdays may be requested based on patient needs.QualificationsExperience: Minimum of 1 year required; first-timers are welcome to apply.License & Certification: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) - RequiredBLS Certification - RequiredAdvanced practice or specialist certification in diabetes, weight management, or similar - PreferredFacility InformationType of Facility: Short Term Acute CareTotal Staffed Beds: 87Charting System: CernerParking: Free Parking AvailablePatient Care DetailsPatient Age Groups: Adolescents, Adults, GeriatricsPatient Ratio: 10 to 1 during day shiftsDaily Census: Approximately 100 bedsKey ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and reassessments.Develop individualized plans of treatment for various patient populations, including infants through older adults.Monitor and manage enteral nutrition (tube feedings) and total parenteral nutrition (TPN).Evaluate food-drug interactions and provide appropriate dietary recommendations.Assist with calorie counting and intake/output monitoring.Staffing and Scheduling DetailsPosition includes blocked scheduling for improved work-life balance.Pre-Approved Time Off: One day available, unit manager's approval required for additional requests.Work EnvironmentTeam-oriented environment with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, social services, pharmacy, and more.Compliance RequirementsCandidates will be required to complete all necessary compliance testing and documentation prior to the start date.Holiday RequirementsCandidates must be available to work during two of the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day.If you are passionate about nutrition and patient care, apply now to join our team dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our community.
