The Opportunity We are seeking Cooks to work at high-volume airport restaurants with the opportunity to grow and advance. Work for well-known restaurants that are Kansas City based. Responsibilities & Duties Prepare food for service, using approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control. Maintain safety standards while using knives and other food preparation equipment. Assist in controlling product costs by ensuring proper management of product waste. Clean, sanitize, and maintain all assigned work areas, equipment, and utensils to ensure sanitation standards are met. Speed and efficiency are of the utmost importance. Ability to multi‑task and maintain organizational structure. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Ability to pass pre‑employment (post‑offer) background check. Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Can communicate effectively in English. Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook. Proven knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
