IT Project Manager IIIThe IT Project Manager III manages all aspects of assigned technology projects to ensure successful delivery on time and within approved budgets. This role has overall responsibility for managing project scope, schedule, project resource hour costs, internal staffing coordination, vendors, and contractual deliverables for moderately complex initiatives.The IT Project Manager III develops and maintains detailed project plans, monitors milestones, generates specific and targeted status reports, evaluates and manages project risks, and incorporates defined quality standards into all project deliverables. This role possesses strong knowledge of technology and project management practices and works independently while collaborating closely with business and technical stakeholders. Work is highly independent and collaborative in nature, with responsibility for leading and delivering more complex technology projects and initiatives. May lead projects independently or contribute as a delivery lead on larger, enterprise initiatives.Primary Responsibilities:Project Planning & ExecutionIndependently manage all phases of technology projects including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and closureDevelop, manage, and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and task-level activitiesEnsure projects are delivered on time and within approved scope and budgets related to project resource hoursMonitor project milestones, deliverables, and interdependencies, taking proactive action to address issuesOperate within established IAS governance, standards, and project management frameworksLead delivery of complex technology projects, proactively managing interdependencies, risks, and stakeholder expectationsScope, Schedule & Cost ManagementDefine, manage, and control project scope to ensure alignment with approved objectives and business requirementsManage project schedules and priorities across multiple workstreamsTrack, analyze, and manage project costs related to internal and external project resource hoursProactively identify, communicate, and address scope, schedule, or cost risks and variancesResource, Staffing & Vendor ManagementCoordinate IAS project staffing needs with department managers to ensure appropriate resourcingLead day-to-day coordination of internal project team membersManage vendor relationships, deliverables, and performance in alignment with contractual agreementsEnsure vendor activities are integrated effectively into overall project plansRisk, Quality & ReportingIdentify, evaluate, and manage project risks, issues, and mitigation strategiesIncorporate and enforce appropriate quality measures and standards across project deliverablesGenerate specific, targeted project status reports for stakeholders and leadershipEnsure project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained according to IAS standardsCommunication & Stakeholder CollaborationServe as a key point of contact for business, technical, and leadership stakeholdersFacilitate effective collaboration across cross-functional teams and external partnersLead project meetings, status reviews, and issue resolution discussionsClearly communicate project progress, risks, dependencies, and outcomesOther duties may be assigned as necessaryPrimary Skills & Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience6+ years of related IT or project management experienceProject management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) desiredITIL or ITSM certifications preferredPrior experience managing moderately complex technology projectsInsurance and/or healthcare industry experience preferredStrong knowledge of information technology concepts, systems, and development lifecyclesAdvanced understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and best practicesAbility to independently manage moderately complex technology projectsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written, verbal, and documentation communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively across departments and influence without direct authorityProficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)Experience with project management and tracking tools (e.g., JIRA or similar) preferredAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to adapt and respond to different types of people and tasksAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively and efficientlyReliable transportation and the ability to be punctual and dependableWillingness to present to groups and run meetings when necessaryAbout IntegrityIntegrity is one of the nation's leading independent distributors of life, health and wealth insurance products.
