Radiation Therapist

Location: Wilmington, NC

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Shifts available in both 5x8 and 4x10 hour formats, depending on clinic needs:

• 5x8s: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM; occasionally 09:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• 4x10s: Staggered shifts including 07:00 AM - 05:30 PM and 08:00 AM - 06:30 PM

Job Description: This contract involves local float coverage between two clinical sites focused on radiation therapy for adult patients. The primary location features three Varian linear accelerators and a CT simulator, while the sister site is equipped with a Varian True Beam and a Siemens CT simulator. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a collaborative team, with both physicians and registered nurses always on-site.

• Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the medical team.
• Utilize various technologies including CT simulation, MRI, and PET scan for tumor localization.
• Work in a shared environment with opportunities to float between facilities as needed.
• Complete documentation using the Aria electronic medical record system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• ARRT certification and BLS certification required.
• Experience with Varian technology, including 21ex/ix systems and Aria EMR, preferred.
• Must comply with floating requirements to support multiple clinic locations.
