Business Development Representative

Aughdem Recruitment is an executive search firm operating across North America. Founded in 2008, the firm has spent close to two decades building a reputation for pay transparency, candidate honesty, and a two-way, partnership driven approach to executive search that stands apart from transactional recruitment norms. As Aughdem continues to grow its client base, it requires an experienced Business Development Representative to drive new business through consistent outbound prospecting and lead generation. This Business Development Representative role reports directly to the Principal and is critical to expanding Aughdem’s presence in the Los Angeles market. Compensation Base salary of $80,000. Uncapped commission, historically averaging $20,000 to $30,000 annually. Unlimited PTO. Annual staff retreat. Responsibilities Drive new business development through a high volume of outbound prospecting, targeting approximately 90% of overall activity. Manage inbound lead generation and qualification, representing approximately 10% of overall activity. Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective clients through cold calling, email outreach, and LinkedIn prospecting. Qualify leads and schedule meetings for the Principal and broader business development team. Research target companies and industries to identify new business opportunities. Maintain accurate and up to date records of outreach, leads, and pipeline activity in the CRM. Partner with the Principal to refine outbound messaging, targeting strategy, and lead qualification criteria. Track and report on key business development metrics, including outreach volume, response rates, and conversion. Represent Aughdem’s brand and value proposition clearly and consistently across all outreach. Follow up persistently and professionally with prospects throughout the sales cycle. Stay current on market trends and competitor activity within the executive search industry. Travel quarterly to the head office to connect with the broader team and align on strategy. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in business development, sales, or lead generation, ideally in a professional services or recruitment environment. Proven track record of hitting or exceeding outbound activity and pipeline targets. Strong cold calling, email outreach, and prospecting skills. Excellent communication and relationship building skills. Comfortable working in a high volume, metrics driven, remote environment. Experience using a CRM to manage pipeline and outreach activity. Self motivated with a strong work ethic and resilience in the face of rejection. Experience in staffing, recruitment, or professional services is a strong asset.
