Respiratory Therapist | Bristol, Connecticut

Schedule:

• 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Every other weekend required

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
• Experience with a variety of respiratory treatment modalities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and effective in emergent situations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Administer, monitor, and evaluate respiratory therapy treatments for patients across all age groups
• Operate and maintain ventilators, oxygen devices, and other respiratory equipment
• Perform patient assessments to recommend and adjust therapy as needed
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care planning
• Document therapies and patient progress accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide expertise during respiratory distress events
