Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred

Must-Have:
Candidate must reside more than 100 miles from the central facility to be eligible to apply.
Ability to read and interpret telemetry independently is required.
Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system is required.

Description:
Seeking a registered nurse for a medical/surgical telemetry unit.
This position involves night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts each week.
The nurse will have a patient ratio of 1:5-6.
The unit primarily handles post-surgical patients, particularly in urology.
Common procedures include managing heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and insulin drips.
The nurse may care for patients with PCA, epidurals, foleys, and drains.
Skills in cardiac telemetry, IV management, and wound care are crucial.
The unit provides multidisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services.
All applicants must complete lab work and an EKG/dysrhythmia exam before starting.
Weekend and holiday shifts are required.
