Medical Assistant Cardiology

Job Description Job Description Key responsibilities: * Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and medication list. * Obtain electrocardiograms. * Prepare patient's for exams, and assist with in office procedures. * Performed electrocardiograms and other basic cardiac diagnostic tests as directed. * Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and diagnostic testing. * Maintain accurate electronic medical records. * Provide patient education on medications, lifestyle modifications, and follow-up care. * Ensure exam rooms and equipment are properly cleaned and stocked. Qualifications: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program. * Current certification preferred. * Experience in cardiology or internal medicine preferred. * Proficiency with Athena EHR system. * Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Work environment: Clinical outpatient cardiology setting requiring professionalism, description, and the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
