Weatherization Technician

We are seeking a Home Insulation Technician based in either Edison, NJ or Lakewood, NJ. The technician will install and service residential energy efficiency products, including insulation, air sealing, appliance venting, and ductwork, across a variety of indoor and outdoor environments. Responsibilities Install energy efficiency upgrades in residential homes. Complete insulation and air sealing services. Vent appliances and seal ductwork. Operate field equipment in all weather conditions. Record and report customer and contractor interactions to program staff to meet program requirements. Troubleshoot technical problems and ensure installations meet client specifications. Act as the on‑site program representative, encouraging customer participation and overcoming barriers. Qualifications High School Diploma (required). 6 months to 1 year of experience in utilities, HVAC, residential construction, or related fields. 21 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for conditional offers). Ability to drive a fleet vehicle to job sites. Strong customer service mindset and teamwork skills. Requirements Field work in all weather conditions, including attics, basements, crawlspaces, and exterior structures. Pass a motor vehicle report that shows a satisfactory driving record. Meet any applicable DOT qualification requirements and regulatory compliance.
