Clinical Program Director

CoveCare Center is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and mission-driven Clinical Director to lead our Mental Health Clinic. The Clinical Director provides both clinical and operational leadership for the program.As Clinical Director, you will: Provide leadership, supervision, coaching, and professional development to clinical staffPromote high-quality, person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-oriented careOversee clinical operations, including assessment, admissions, case assignment, referrals, treatment, and dischargeMonitor program performance, productivity, documentation, quality measures, and key performance indicatorsEnsure compliance with NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) regulations, agency standards, and other applicable requirementsMaintain Utilization Management/Utilization Review (UM/UR) requirementsSupport staff in meeting documentation and collaborative documentation expectationsProvide leadership during clinical crisesProvide crisis coverage in a rotating schedule during business hours and after hours;Use program data to identify trends, strengthen performance, and support continuous quality improvementCollaborate with other CoveCare programs and community partners to coordinate careSupport program growth, community outreach, service development, grants, and other strategic initiativesMonitor program utilization, fiscal performance, contracts, and reporting requirementsRepresent the program on internal committees, community task forces, and other collaborative initiativesProvide direct clinical servicesWhat We're Looking For Candidates should have: A graduate degree in a health-related field with appropriate NYS licensure/certification, or eligibility as a Qualified Health Professional under NYS Mental Hygiene regulationsLCSW or LMHC preferredAt least three years of experience in a community-based mental health and/or substance use treatment settingAt least one year of supervisory and administrative experienceExperience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use needsStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsThe ability to coach staff, provide meaningful xhyhwjd feedback, manage competing priorities, and hold teams accountable while maintaining a supportive work environmentA commitment to trauma-informed, person-centered, collaborative careComfort using technology, electronic health records, data, and performance measures to support program operationsSchedule & Work Arrangement Full-time, Monday–Friday positionPosition is in-person during the initial training and onboarding periodPotential for a hybrid work schedule following successful completion of the in-person training period, based on program and operational needsThe position requires flexibility to support program operations, with at least one in-person workday per week including evening hoursParticipation in rotating agency-wide crisis coverage during and after business hours is required
