Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift)

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Night Shift) in Johnson City, New York.

Location: Johnson City, NY

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift: 12 nights, 7a-7p, 36 hours per week, every other weekend. Holiday coverage needed.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department is responsible for protecting, promoting, and optimizing health, preventing illness and injury, and the alleviation of suffering. The RN will serve as a primary or accountable nurse, managing a group of patients while adhering to all regulatory and nursing practice standards. The RN promotes a caring and healing environment, providing patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, delegate, coordinate, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Administer medications safely, utilizing knowledge of pharmacology.
• Participate in resource utilization and staffing management.
• Comply with nursing practice standards and UHS policies.
• Engage in professional development and complete mandatory education requirements.
• Provide a supportive learning environment for new employees and students.
• Perform charge nurse or shift coordinator duties when assigned.

Required Experience:

• 3 years of current experience working in an Emergency Department.
• Previous traveler experience with knowledge in trauma, STEMI, stroke, sepsis, and pediatric care.

Certifications/Licensure:

• Current New York State Registered Nurse License.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications are required.
