AR/AP Specialist

The AR/AP Specialist will serve as lead on a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits. Essential Functions Lead the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness Maintain account balances and bank statements Assist with audits and taxes Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders Maintain the general ledger and assist with the month-end and year-end close processes Participate in the budget process Participate in regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance Monitor business performance metrics Assess current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing Provide management with information vital to the decision-making process new processes Coordinate and preparing internal and external financial statements Assist managers in understanding processes and interpreting financial information for successful, departmental results Follow and promote Columbus Hospitality’s Core Values Travel Required No .
