ICU Registered Nurse

Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Registered Nurses for our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and CVU . The ideal candidate will possess critical care experience and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires proficiency in advanced nursing practices, including the management of complex medical conditions and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Duties:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications.
Perform advanced procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, airway management, and dialysis.
Utilize EMR systems such as Meditech, Epic and Cerner for accurate medical documentation and patient record management.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including triage and acute pain management.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Assist in cardiac catheterization procedures and manage ventilator-dependent patients.
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the ICU.

Requirements

1. Education: High School Diploma/GED, Graduated from a recognized school of nursing

1. Certification/Licensure: Required: Valid PA Registered Nurse License. Preferred: CEN/CCRN

Required: American Red Cross/ American Heart Association BLS upon hire, ACLS within 6 months of hire, PALS within one year of hire, NIHSS within 90 days.

1. Clearances: As required by State and Federal Law.
