Business Analyst (Statewide Financial System)

Trigyn's direct government client has an immediate need for a Business Analyst in Albany, NY. Description Work with NY State agencies to develop and implement new grant opportunities in the State’s Grants Management systems Create and update documentation and develop training courses for State Agency users and vendors. Document, maintain, and validate business process rules to improve efficiency and cross‑training, allowing for uniformity across State Agencies. Test and implement new features and builds of web‑based statewide grant application and contract development system. Report bugs and defects in an easy‑to‑understand manner and test proposed fixes of these defects. Develop and edit functional specifications for new features and improvements. Mandatory Qualification Works in the field of Information Technology, experienced in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures or business applications and products that run on those platforms - beyond that of a Programmer. Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. 84 months experience in performing requirements gathering and business analysis, producing written documentation of requirements; system design and implementation. 60 months experience testing builds of a statewide enterprise IT project, including defect reporting. 48 months experience as a government employee or public/private consultant with detailed involvement in the area of government grantmaking. 24 months experience configuring and deploying an industry standard COTS grantmaking solution. 12 months experience working with an enterprise statewide financial system.
