Pediatric Heart Failure And Transplant CardiologistThe Cook Children's Heart Center is seeking a motivated, compassionate, and collaborative Pediatric Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist to join our growing and nationally recognized pediatric cardiovascular program in Fort Worth, Texas. Qualified candidates must have completed an accredited Pediatric Cardiology fellowship with additional training in management of heart failure, transplant, mechanical assist devices, and be board eligible or board certified in Pediatric Cardiology. Applicants must also be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Texas.The ideal candidate will have experience in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric cardiology, all aspects of heart failure and transplant cardiology, and demonstrate a strong commitment to exceptional patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide inpatient and outpatient management of pediatric patients with:Advanced heart failureCardiomyopathiesMechanical circulatory support devicesPre- and post-heart transplantationParticipate in heart transplant evaluations and selection committee activities.Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, intensivists, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, social workers, dietitians, and transplant coordinators.Participate in shared call coverage for heart failure and transplant services.Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development.Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and allied health professionals.Participate in clinical research, translational research, or outcomes-based research consistent with career interests.Support compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for transplant programs.The Cook Children's Heart Center offers a comprehensive and highly collaborative cardiovascular program with a strong culture of innovation and clinical integration.Our physician team includes:2 Adult Congenital Cardiologists3 Invasive/Interventional Pediatric Cardiologists3 Pediatric Electrophysiologists1 Heart Failure/Transplant Cardiologist7 Advanced Noninvasive Imaging Cardiologists4 General Pediatric Cardiologists3 Pediatric Cardiothoracic Surgeons8 Advanced Practice ProvidersOur integrated Heart Center includes:2 dedicated cardiac catheterization laboratories2 cardiovascular operating rooms14-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU)14-bed dedicated cardiac step-down unitDedicated Cardiac MRI magnetFully digital echocardiography laboratory with seamless integration across all outreach clinic locations, allowing real-time image review and collaborative interpretationOur cardiovascular surgical team performs approximately 450–500 congenital cardiac surgeries annually, while our catheterization laboratories perform 600–650 interventional, diagnostic, and electrophysiology procedures each year.
