Details Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients Level I Trauma Center setting Patient ratio of 1:4 Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30) 13-week assignment length Required to work every other weekend Floating required Epic EMR used for charting Requirements Active IL RN license required Minimum 1 year of experience required Prior experience in an urban, Level I Trauma ED required Teaching hospital experience preferred Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Preferred certifications: TNCC, CPI Epic charting experience preferred Experience managing diverse ED cases including trauma, pediatrics, psychiatric emergencies, and respiratory conditions Skilled in cardiac monitoring, EKG interpretation, and dysrhythmia management Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and emergency medication administration Nursys report required, pulled within the last 2 weeks Additional Information Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including trauma, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, and psychiatric emergencies Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed Manage orthopedic trauma including splint application First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days, with no more than 3 consecutive days and no RTO during the first or last week of the contract Block scheduling is not accommodated Former employees of this health system must have separated from employment for at least 7 months before returning as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-736931.
