KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Master Setups: Define and implement master setups for injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance and output quality. Adjust machine settings based on material characteristics and product specifications. New Product Sampling: Lead the sampling process for new products, including tool trials and material testing, to validate process parameters and product quality before full-scale production begins. Process Optimization: Continuously monitor and analyze production processes to identify and implement improvements in efficiency, quality, and waste reduction. Focus on optimizing cycle times to ensure that operations run smoothly and efficiently, aiming to meet or exceed standard production rates. Actively work to maintain scrap percentages at or below industry standards by implementing effective quality control measures and continuous improvement strategies. Utilize data analysis and root cause analysis to pinpoint areas for improvement and apply corrective actions to reduce downtime, enhance product quality, and minimize waste. Daily Auditing: Conduct daily audits to ensure that all processes are running according to the master setups. Monitor and verify the consistency of machine settings, material use, and operational procedures to maintain production standards and quality. Address any deviations promptly to avoid impact on production efficiency and product quality. Training and Supervision: Train and oversee all process technicians, ensuring they are proficient in machine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Provide guidance and support to enhance team performance and skills development. Quality Control: Work closely with the quality department to uphold quality standards. Participate in root cause analysis for any product defects and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Mold Maintenance and Repair Coordination: Coordinate with the maintenance team to schedule preventive maintenance and address mold repairs promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of process parameters, modifications, and outcomes for all production runs. Ensure compliance with ISO and other regulatory requirements. ERP System Utilization (IQMS): Effectively utilize the IQMS ERP system for real-time tracking and management of production processes, inventory, quality control, and customer information. Ensure accurate data entry and analysis to support decision-making processes and operational efficiency. Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all operations comply with company policies and regulatory safety standards. Promote a culture of safety within the team. Communication with Customers: Engage with customers via phone, email, or in‑person to understand their needs, provide updates on project status, troubleshoot issues, and ensure satisfaction with the services provided. Machine Start‑Up and Shutdown Assistance: Aid in the start‑up and shutdown of injection molding machines as needed or assigned, ensuring that procedures are followed correctly to prevent damage to the machines and to maintain safety standards. This includes performing pre‑startup checks, ensuring that all systems are operational, and completing shutdown procedures to secure the machines after use.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Understanding of Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Procedure. Understanding of Operation Controls Procedure. Be a part of corrective/preventative actions. Assist in the implementation of preventative actions. Proficient in the use of a fire extinguisher. Identify and respond to emergency situations and accidents and prevent or mitigate associated adverse environmental impacts. Maintain order and professional conduct throughout the manufacturing area. Evaluate production data in the computer system.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, and hot liquids. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED. Understanding mold setting. Understanding of troubleshooting the injection molding process. Involves frequent contact with personnel inside and outside the company requiring reasonable tact, discretion, and self‑expression.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Oversees and optimizes injection molding processes to ensure efficient production and high‑quality output. Leads a team in troubleshooting, process improvements, and machine setup, while ensuring adherence to safety standards and production goals.
