Lube Technician

McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago

We are looking to hire an entry-level express lube technician. The Express Lube Technician at McGrath Acura of Downtown Chicago is responsible for providing basic automotive services to all customers coming into the Service Center. This position is responsible for performing oil changes, tire rotations, fluid level inspections, and minor maintenance routines. The successful candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, a passion for cars and automotive repair, and must possess a valid drivers license with a good accountability and punctuality record.

Compensation & Benefits:

This role is a full-time hourly position. The hourly rate ($16.50 to $18.00 per hour) is negotiable depending on experience and certifications. Additional benefits include paid vacation, medical, dental, and life insurance, 401k, and other opportunities for additional hours.

Responsibilities:

• Perform fluid replacements and inspections
• Check and adjust tire pressure
• Perform oil changes and filter replacements
• Perform Vehicle Multi-Point Inspections
• Clean work areas and ensure general maintenance of work equipment
• Maintain accurate records of customer vehicle information
• Provide courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service
• Assist managers and other technicians as needed

Requirements:

• Automotive service skills & experience
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Good problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Valid drivers license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
