Job Summary Process member purchases in a courteous and friendly manner, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products, scanning merchandise, and accepting various payment methods. Provide excellent member service efficiently, maintain the overall cleanliness of the front‑line department, and uphold club policies and procedures. Responsibilities Carry out assigned job functions and support club policies, procedures, and compliance. Work as a team to deliver daily GOLD club standards, ensuring items are stocked, signage is accurate, and the floor is clean and organized. Read and interpret production/financial performance reports for your department. Execute BJ’s membership options, renewals, loyalty programs, and rewards redemption. Process sales transactions accurately, manage self‑checkout lanes, and assist members with technical difficulties. Meet cashier productivity expectations and maintain club policies and procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned, including work in other departments. Ensure regular, predictable, full attendance. Qualifications Basic math skills preferred. Prior cashier or sales experience preferred. Environmental Job Conditions Regular movement on hard surfaces; occasional bending, handling, pulling, reaching, and stooping. Frequent lifting of objects up to 30 pounds; occasional lifting of heavier objects with assistance. Work in a comfortable indoor area with limited temperature extremes and loud noises; occasional exposure to cleaning agents.
