About The Role The Global Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) portfolio includes a diverse mix of office locations, supply and manufacturing facilities, logistics sites, and land assets. In the North American region (US and Canada) this role will lead and manage all aspects of real estate strategy, operations and finance. Deliver against the Global CRES strategy, creating inclusive and sustainable workplaces that inspire employees. Lead North American demand office transactions – new leases, renewals, planning, development – and manage associated legal and financial frameworks. Run property lease administration, perform data analytics, and generate direct and indirect commercial income through active property asset and estate management. Manage real‑estate project life cycles and capital projects in partnership with finance and strategic target metrics. Support operational IFM/FM financial performance and day‑to‑day lease administration, including lease payment processing. Engage customers and partners with a focus on risk, safety and compliance. Partner with business, external partners, and support teams in America, Central and Regional CRES to ensure projects align with business ambitions. Govern all CRES activities, including sustainability and health & safety reporting, and risk handling. Role Responsibilities Build, maintain, and develop trusted relationships with business and market client groups, Global and Regional CRES teams, and performance partners. Showcase CRES successes and innovations as the organisational ambassador. Ensure that real‑estate and capital projects deliver optimal cost, carbon and cash value, including consolidation and growth programmes. Support the North American real‑estate lifecycle management, OPEX budget impact and drive efficiencies. Provide ongoing performance improvement and operational value across all practices. Coordinate long‑term real‑estate planning to maintain portfolio continuity with minimal disruption to business operations. Align with all supplier and Diageo systems to meet health and safety obligations and deliver 2030 sustainability targets. Team and Third‑Party Engagement Ensure optimal delivery of key supplier real‑estate and project contracts. Manage fleet vendor and budget to support commercial sales and vehicle requirements. Governance, Risk, Performance Measurement & Reporting Implement best‑in‑class CRES practices across North America. Ensure compliance with policies, standards and manage all CRES‑related real‑estate and project risks. Measure and report performance metrics to the CRES senior leadership team and key stakeholders. Establish and hold cross‑functional teams accountable for governance of decisions and change projects. Apply risk management standards and all compliance controls (CARM, SOA, etc.). Demonstrate agility in assimilating new information and expanding expertise. Show proven track record in portfolio performance and wide variety of real‑estate projects. Display knowledge of change and programme management, including outsourcing and large‑scale construction projects. Experience in real‑estate strategy and operational services across North American markets. Apply awareness of CRES risk and governance and deliver policy compliance. Experience / Skills Required Strong experience managing IFM and property‑management services across multiple building/asset types. Minimum seven years of leadership/management experience in a CRES‑related function. Good understanding of Diageo or equivalent organisation. Highly self‑motivated, proactive with excellent communication skills. Ability to align key client groups with conflicting priorities and effectively communicate with senior leaders. Track record of collaboration across CRES and the broader organisation. Knowledge of change and programme management, including second‑generation outsourcing and IFM initiatives. Understanding of supplier and IFM performance metrics and communication. Experience managing sustainability programmes/targets, including fleet, across the real‑estate lifecycle.
