Exciting opportunities await for those with a passion for supporting students! Take on a rewarding contract assignment as a Paraprofessional in a school setting near Oak Brook, IL. This position is available for the full school year, with both full-time and part-time options to fit your schedule. You'll have the chance to work in either 1:1 roles or with small groups, supporting students from Kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or in a schools-based support role is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, specialists, and fellow support staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills when assisting students of diverse backgrounds and needs
- Flexibility to adapt to classroom or individual student requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
- Willingness to follow school and district guidelines, including student privacy and safety protocols
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide instructional, behavioral, and functional support to students in both group and 1:1 settings
- Assist with classroom activities under the guidance of the lead teacher
- Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and accommodations as directed
- Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Assist students with assignments, classroom participation, and transitions throughout the school day
- Communicate regularly with teachers and school staff regarding student progress and needs
