Job Title: PD EMT Location: Mobile Health | Department: MH Southern BLS Emergency | Pay Range: $24.72 - $27.34 per hour Job Overview The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will provide Basic Life Support (BLS) services to patients. Associate Degree Certifications and Licenses Required New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, or National Registry EMT Certification American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider (CPR) Hazmat Awareness Certification Must possess ISS 100, 200 and NIMS 700, 800 Must have completed Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training Essential Functions Conduct work in a professional, dignified, and compassionate manner at all times Communicate clearly, effectively, and professionally in English, both in writing and verbally Notify Supervisor of any maintenance, equipment, or supplies deficiencies Notify Supervisor immediately of any unusual circumstances Provide treatment in accordance with established patient care protocols Operate department vehicles in accordance with all applicable NJ Motor Vehicle Laws and MH driving policies Complete department specific continuing programs in addition to state requirements Complete all patient care documentation in accordance with the MH Documentation Procedure Interact professionally with partners, patients, management, colleagues from other EMS agencies, public safety personnel, and other healthcare providers and members of the public Perform routine duties to maintain safety and facilitate patient care (e.g., vehicle inspections, certification renewals, TB and N95 testing, employee evaluations, engagement surveys) Perform other duties as required or requested by MH management Scheduling Requirements Per Diem: Provide 10 shifts of availability and work 6 shifts over 3 months. Must work 1 summer and 1 winter holiday and 2 weekend shifts. All shifts within hired region. Part Time: Assigned two regularly scheduled shifts per week, total 4 shifts over 2 weeks, at least 2 of the 4 on weekend. Must work 24 hours per week. Full Time: Assigned 3 shifts per week, with weekend requirements. Rotating Pitman schedule. Must work 36 hours per week.
