The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, counseling patients, maintaining pharmacy records, supporting medication safety, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES: Accept and accurately dispense prescription medications. Monitor patient medication compliance and potential medication overuse. Ensure medications are dispensed in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. Verify that prescribed medications are appropriate for patients. Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files. Counsel patients regarding medications, including proper use, potential reactions, and questions. Provide consultation on prescription and non-prescription medications, including: Dosage, Storage, Side effects, Drug interactions Provide patient services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure measurement, and cholesterol management. Educate patients on the proper use and handling of medical devices, including blood pressure monitors and glucose meters. Compound medications for internal and external use. Prepare sterile solutions following appropriate procedures. Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacy technicians and pharmacy clerks. Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies. Identify medication-related problems and communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and other members of the healthcare team. Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and established procedures. PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS: Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days. Active pharmacist license through the applicable state pharmacy board required. Strong medication knowledge and attention to detail. Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
